Regulatory Committee

Development

The Coast Guard Administration was established on the 28th of January 2000. At the initial stage, other than the Coastal Patrol Act and the Organization Act of the Administration that have been legislated, non other laws and regulations was in place. In view of the subject-matter that establishments of relevant coastal patrol legal systems is the most urgent matter after the Administration is established, which will also upgrade the Administration's legal review functions, the Administration actively conduct the preparation works and planning to set up the Regulatory Committee based on the nineteenth article of the Administration's Organization Act. Later, on the 31st of May 2000, the Executive Yuan approved and published the "Coast Guard Administration of Executive Yuan Regulatory Committee Organization Rules". On 29th of June of the same year, the Administration officially set up the "Coast Guard Administration of Executive Yuan Regulatory Committee".
