China Coast Guard Harassment in Kinmen Waters; Taiwan Coast Guard Administration responds rapidly for monitoring and expulsion
At 10:15 on November 20, four China Coast Guard (CCG) vessels — “14608,” “14527,” “14603,” and “14515” — were spotted near Beiding Island, east of Kinmen. Taiwan Coast Guard Administration (TCGA) patrol vessels immediately proceeded to monitor and escort.
The Chinese vessels entered Taiwan’s restricted waters at 10:45, sailing slowly in a close formation.
Multiple radio warnings were issued, demanding immediate withdrawal.
By 12:20, the vessels exited Taiwan’s territorial waters.
TCGA emphasized that Gray Zone harassment remains frequent, and Taiwan will maintain 24/7 maritime patrols and rapid-response readiness to protect sovereignty.
