On November 3rd 2019, directed by the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office, the Taiwan Coast Guard conducted a joint inspection with the Customs and National Police Agency in a warehouse at Kaohsiung Harbour and seized approximately 136 kg(122 umits) Cocaine based on intelligence that some transnational syndicate was planning to smuggle large quantity of drugs into Taiwan.

A local gangster has been identified as the recipient. The Taiwan Coast Guard have coordinated law enforcement agencies to conduct further investigation.
