(1)Maritime Law Enforcement
To effectively manage and conserve the fisheries resources, marine environment and to curb illegal fishing, the CGA carries out port checks, also conducts joint maritime law enforcement a crackdown on illegal fishing.

(2)Fishery Protection
To maintain our rights and interests in surrounding waters, the CGA leaves no stone unturned in enhancing its performance of clamping down on illegal trespassing fishing boats from Mainland China, in order to effectively prevent them from conducting fishery operations in our territory, also demonstrate the government’s determination to assert our sovereignty and fishing rights.

(3)Search and Rescue
The CGA holds search and rescue with emergency exercise to raise professional skills and capacity of costal guard personnel in the disaster preparedness and response system regularly.

(4)Marine Conservation
To protect marine ecology, achieve the goal of sustainable development of resources, promote the concept of conservation and respond to public opinions, the CGA has been promoting the “Sustainable Marine Resources Protection Project” since July 1, 2016, in order to show determination on safeguard marine ecology with actions.


(5)Maritime Affairs
To heighten public awareness of the marine environment, the CGA encourages the public to participate in maritime activities by promoting maritime events, propagandizing information on marine, and improving contact and interaction of the related policies.
