Hundreds of dolphins appeared in Taichung waters

At 15:28 on March 15, Offshore Flotilla 3 (Taichung) PP10035 patrol vessel of Fleet Branch, Coast Guard Administration found hundreds of dolphins during maritime patrol duties 19 nautical miles northwest of Taichung Harbor. The dolphins were leaping out of the sea and chasing the patrol vessel. The Coast Guard Officers were surprised and took pictures immediately, kept distance and made records without disturbing.

Offshore Flotilla 3 (Taichung) stated: "Marine public security, fishing rights protection, search and rescue, marine conservation, and marine affairs" are the five core missions of Coast Guard Administration. The appearance of dolphin families in Taichung waters shows that marine ecological conservation is gradually effective. We hope everyone work together to protect the marine ecology. Please do not come near and disturb the precious marine life. If you find illegal or require maritime services, please use the Coast Guard toll-free emergency number "118" or report it through the Taiwan Fishery Broadcasting Station, and Coast Guard Administration must deal with it at once.
